Drake sues Universal for defamation - "false and malicious narrative"

A popular rapper Drake has recently withdrawn his lawsuit against Universal and Spotify for using bots to stream and make his rival's song - "Not Like Us" more popular. People have thought that it meant the Toronto rapper had finally accepted his loss in the overwhelmingly popular drama between him and Kendrick Lamar. Nobody could have expected that it was only in preparation for something far greater...

After withdrawing the lawsuit, he filed another one the very next day, also against the parent company of his label - Universal. He blames them for allowing Kendrick to release the song that is painting him in a negative light - claiming him to be a pedophile, to like younger girls, to be a 'colonizer', to have a gambling addiction and many other bad things. Drake has stated that it directly and negatively affected his reputation, causing some people to try to attack him and/or break into his mansion.

Many critics and rap fans have been disapproving of Drake's actions, citing several reasons: over the years, although there have been multiple rap "beefs", rappers have settled them with words and songs, but not with lawsuits. Some people also point out that it might have a negative effect on freedom of speech and creativity, making song-writers and rappers be more careful about what they say and sing about.
