Netflix is raising prices. Again.

Netflix has observed a large surge in the subscriber count, which could be attributed to being involved in many successful productions. Just recently, they streamed the long-awaited fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which the company claims attracted over 100 million viewers worldwide. They also bought rights to transmit WWE shows (5 million live viewers during the debut, not including the streams of past PPVs and shows). Squid Game's season 2 also came out recently, which only encouraged more people to subscribe to the platform.

The current and standard price of a Netflix subscription in the US costs $15.49. Soon, it will get raised to $17.99 per month. A standard account with ads will also be one dollar more expensive ($7.99).

Many people are reasonably unhappy with the change and have shared their disappointment and anger with the decision. Will it cause an actual decrease in the number of subscriptions? Only time will tell.
