     While the LA fires are still ongoing, it is expected that the winds might calm down in the next couple of days. The attention of the US public has been taken by storm by the extremely difficult situation happening in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. It affected over 62 square miles with only around 25% of the fires being contained (as of 16.01).

    Strong winds of up to 65 mph have been observed and they keep fueling the fires, which makes it much, much harder for the brave firefighters to successfully deal with them. The impact of them is disheartening, with many people forced to evacuate and leave their homes and possessions behind, countless families have already lost their houses. On top of that, unfortunately, at least 25 people have lost their lives. It is also known that hundreds of thousands of people are without power in the region. The authorities are urging the residents to follow the evacuation orders and stay safe.
